HOW TO GET TO LO ALTO

Access from the West: Extremadura Motoway (Madrid-Badajoz) A5
Access from the West: Extremadura Motoway (Madrid-Badajoz) A5This is the quickest and best route from Madrid, Toledo or Extremadura. At Talavera (km 123) take the turning to Avila and, after 200m, take the turning towards Avila (C502). At Arenas de San Pedro, cross the town, take the road to El Hornillo and El Arenal. On arrival at El Arenal (9 km from Arenas de San Pedro), you should also cross the town and take the road to "El Puerto del Pico". After 1.5 km you will find the sign to LO ALTO.

Access from C-501 (Madrid-Plasencia)
This is an alternative route to the A5, this takes a little longer but is more beautiful. It is the old road betweenf the Valle del Tietar to Madrid, the locaAlcorcon-Plasencit road, the C-501. When you reach Arenas de San Pedro follow the signs mentioned above.

Access from the North ( via Avila-Puerto del Pico)
To reach El Arenal from the Northern Meseta the best route is via Avila. From Avila take the C-502 towards Arenas de San Pedro. On descending from the Puerto del Pico take the road to El Arenal. Before arriving at the town there is a sign for LO ALTO (at 2 km).
